Martin House Children’s Hospice is looking for passionate, committed and values driven individuals to join our Board of Trustees. This is an exciting opportunity to use your skills, experience and insight to help guide one of the UK’s leading children’s hospices as we continue to develop and grow following our transformational BUILD project.
As a Trustee, you will play a vital role in shaping our strategy, supporting strong governance and ensuring we continue to deliver outstanding specialist care, compassion and support to families across Yorkshire. You will work alongside a dedicated Board and Executive Team, bringing fresh perspectives, constructive challenge and innovative thinking to key decisions.

Location
The majority of the work will take place at Martin House Hospice, but representation and ambassadorial activity could take place anywhere within the charity’s catchment area.
Commitment
There are four Board meetings per year. In addition, an away-day is usually held for strategic planning and board development. There are currently two standing committees which meet 4 times a year, plus occasional working groups. Board members are expected to serve on one of these committees and to take part in other activities from time to time, e.g. recruitment of senior staff.
