Anyone can refer a child or young person for support. The child must be between 0 and 19 years of age on first referral.
Martin House has nine bedrooms; seven for planned admission and two for emergencies. Each child is allocated their own room. All bedrooms are equipped for all children, including those with complex needs. Our teenage unit, Whitby Lodge, has six en-suite bedrooms, five for planned stays and one for emergency stays. As with the house, all bedrooms are equipped to meet the needs of the teenagers and young adults.
Martin House has two end of life rooms and Whitby Lodge has one.
There is no charge to families to use Martin House.
We have a community team who can offer support to children in their own home, in hospital or in other settings.
We cover all of North, West and East Yorkshire.
We currently look after 428 families and 155 bereaved families.
