Your play helps make theirs possible

For children and young people with life-shortening conditions, play is more than fun. It can offer freedom, creativity, confidence and a way to communicate. Most importantly, it creates opportunities to experience joy and for families to laugh, connect and make precious memories together.

Play might mean making music, exploring an immersive sensory world, enjoying freedom in the hydrotherapy pool or simply having fun together. Every experience is shaped around the individual child, so they can take part in ways that are accessible, safe and meaningful to them.

These moments sit alongside the expert care, comfort and support Martin House provides throughout a family’s journey. Your £1 weekly entry helps make both possible.

"Martin House has given Alayna a quality of life we didn’t know was possible, she’s been able to do things we never thought she would, on her own or with us as a family.

The memories we have made have had such a huge impact on us as a family."

Sophie, Alayna’s mum

Congratulations to Andy, who played with purpose - and won our £1,000 top prize!

“Our daughter, Laura, had something called Battens disease, a rare genetic disorder. We gave her 24/7 care, so the visits to Martin House were more than appreciated. I will be forever grateful for the care and support we were shown when she passed away there.

Supporting Martin House by playing the lottery is the least I could do, it was fantastic to win and put the money to good use.”

"At Martin House, we know Thomas is safe, we trust the team completely and he absolutely loves being there.

He thrives on the attention, activities and social interaction - he loves the music room, sensory room and craft activities."

Bethany, Thomas’s mum
