Care team take on staircase challenge

06 May 2020
Martin House care team members are taking on the Yorkshire Three Peaks - by stair!

Some of the care team plan to each climb the equivalent of Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough by going up and down stairs by Saturday 13th June - the day the Martin House Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge was originally due to take place.

Alison Honour, one of the care team taking part, said: "Some of us on the care team were really missing our big outdoor challenges, so we decided to do something to release our pent-up energy - and support Martin House at the same time."

The challenge will see members of the care team, along with some of their friends and family, each climb the equivalent of the three peaks by stairs, while raising sponsorship on their Just Giving page.

Martin House has been forced to cancel or postpone all of its events due to the Covid-19 pandemic, as well as close its shops, which has led to a huge drop in fundraising income.

The Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge has been rescheduled for Saturday 12th September. You can sign up to it at
