The children and young people have benefitted from funding for some amazing projects, in addition to our running costs. Thanks to grant-making organisations we can continue to deliver our art and music therapy sessions, an expressive outlet that is open to everyone, no matter their abilities.
We have extended our clinical care out in the community, providing respite and wellbeing to parents and guardians in more isolated areas — and our families have made new memories together, just like twins Ruby and Sophia, who enjoyed a Wetwheels trip from Whitby with their parents and grandparents.
It costs £9 million a year to run the hospice. Therefore, we are continually seeking support from trusts so children, young people and their families can create lasting memories, share love and laughter, and feel supported in the time they have together.
