Swing into action with our Golf Day

Fans of the fairway are invited to swing into action for us as we launch our popular Golf Day.

Our Golf Day takes place on Friday 9 September at Wetherby Golf Club and we’re calling for teams to sign up.

Maddie Bentley, senior events fundraiser, said: ‘Our Golf Day was a huge success last year and raised £21,800 – we’re hoping to increase that to £25,000 this year, which would pay to run Martin House for 24 hours.’

Teams of four will enjoy a breakfast sandwich before heading off for a round of golf, with halfway house refreshments.

There will also be a variety of extra games they can sign up for, including nearest the line, nearest the pin and a chipping competition.

The day will rounded off by a drinks reception and three-course dinner at the clubhouse, along with prize giving and an auction.

Maddie added: ‘This is an ideal event for a group of friends, family or a team-building day for colleagues, while raising money to help us care for seriously ill children and their families.

‘We’d like to thank Wetherby Golf Club, who provide the course free of charge every year, and also our headline sponsor Retail Response, whose support means more of the money raised will go to providing care to the families who need it most.’

It costs £300 for teams of four to sign up for the Golf Day, and they are asked to raise at least £100 in sponsorship, plus there is also the opportunity to sponsor a hole for £50. Find out more and sign up today.
