New Year, New You: Take on The BIG Challenge in 2025
Start the year with a BIG goal – and make a BIG difference The start of a new year is the perfect…
Please help us raise vital funds this Christmas, so we can help families make memories they’ll cherish forever.
We are offering people the opportunity to remember their loved ones through our annual Light up a Life online book of dedication.
We are offering people the chance to share a message and picture in memory of their loved one on our website right up until Christmas.
We will also be holding three memorial events for families in December, in Boston Spa, Bradford and Skipton.
Mark Clayton, our chaplain at the hospice, said: ‘Giving ourselves time and space to remember those we love is so important, particularly as we move into one of the busiest times of year.
‘Light up a Life is our way to give families who have used our services in the past, as well as the wider community, an opportunity to celebrate and share their memories of the children, young people and other family members who are no longer here.’
We care for babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions across North, East and West Yorkshire, providing respite stays, symptom control emergency care, end-of-life care and care after death. We also support families throughout the life of their child, and in bereavement.
As well as the online book of dedication, we are holding services at St Mary’s Church in Boston Spa on Tuesday 6 December, and Holy Trinity Church, Skipton, on Thursday 8 December.
We are also holding a new event at the Thornbury Centre, Bradford, on Wednesday 7 December.
Mark added: ‘There is no cost to making a dedication, but you can choose to make a donation to us to help us continue providing our care to families.’
