We’re asking supporters like you to host an Open House event to help raise awareness of the work  we do and to raise vital funds.

So, whether you’re an individual wanting to hold an intimate dinner with friends, a group wanting to host a larger scale event, or a business wanting to get your team together, anything goes!

We would like you to host your event between 19 – 25 June to coincide with Children’s Hospice Week. Children’s Hospice Week celebrates children’s hospices and palliative care services across the UK, and the children and young people we support.

Anyone can hold an Open House event for Martin House. All you need to do is decide what kind of event you want to hold and who you want to invite!

Some of our favourite Open House ideas include:

  • coffee and cake — either invite friends around for a get together or set up a cake stall for neighbours or work colleagues to pop by and donate
  • charity lunch — host a lunch at work for donations or sell tickets to a lunch at your home
  • quiz night — everyone loves a quiz so host one for your family and friends and ask for donations to take part, either virtually or in person
