Open House is for everyone
Whether it’s with friends and family, a community group or you’re a local business, you can take part in Open House and help raise vital funds for Martin House.
Between 1–30 June 2026, we’re inviting supporters across our communities to open their home, community space or workplace to host a simple event that brings people together — all in support of children and families cared for by the hospice.
It’s easy to get involved. Choose an event that suits you, pick a date, and we’ll support you every step of the way.
Looking for inspiration?
Here are some of our favourite community-friendly Open House ideas:
☕ Coffee and cake
Invite friends round for a relaxed catch-up, or set up a cake stall for neighbours, parents at the school gate, or members of your local group.
🍽 Charity lunch
Host a simple lunch at home, in your community hall, or at work. Ask for donations or sell tickets — good food, good company, great cause.
🧠 Quiz night
From WI groups and youth clubs to family gatherings, quizzes are always a hit. Host one in person or online and ask for a small donation to take part.
Have your own idea? Brilliant. Open House is all about making it work for you and your community.
Why it matters
The care Martin House provides doesn’t stop, and neither do the needs of the families who rely on it. By opening your door, you’re helping to fund specialist care, support and precious time together for children and families across our region.
What may feel like a small gathering to you can mean everything to a family supported by Martin House.
Sign up today and be part of Open House 2026.
