Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge

This COVID-safe event is back due to popular demand.  Join us for one of our biggest challenges, hiking 24 miles in under 12 hours through the beautiful Yorkshire Dales!
 
Starting in Horton-in-Ribblesdale, you will begin your journey hiking up Pen-Y-Ghent, past Ribblehead Viaduct to ascend Whernside and finally tackle the short scramble up Ingleborough before heading back into Horton-in-Ribblesdale.
 
This challenge is self-led, however, you will be provided with direction on where to walk and there will be a team of experience mountain guides along the route to provide assistance and check you’re staying on course.  


The Peaks you will be climbing includes: 
  • Pen-y-ghent (694 metres)
  • Whernside (736 metres)
  • Ingleborough (723 metres)

Our mountain gurus at Kuta Outdoors are on hand with top tips on training and fitness in the run up to our Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge.


You will need a good level of fitness with prior training to take part.
 
Registration costs: £35 
Sponsorship target: £150
We will be on hand from the moment you sign up to help you to raise as much money as possible.

Your £150 sponsorship could buy three boxes of baby bottles used for feeds and fluids during respite stays.

Covid-19
We’d like to reassure you that over the coming months, we will be working closely with Kuta Outdoors to ensure we are following the latest government guidelines with regards to COVID-19 social distancing rules in order to deliver the safest event experience for all participants. Please note that registration fees are non-refundable unless the event is cancelled or postponed due to Covid-19, then a full refund of your registration fees can be requested.


Information for walkers

Important information to know on the day of the event:
 
Arrival: 6:45am
Briefing: 7:00am
Walk starts: 7:15am promptly
 
Meeting point at Horton in Ribblesdale - please follow the postcode BD24 0HF in your sat nav. Martin House will be located in the field just across the bridge, next to The Crown. The walk will also end at this point.
 
When you arrive you will be briefed by KUTA Outdoors with instructions for the day so you are fully prepared for the walk ahead along with a map. 
 
Come prepared with a packed lunch, snacks and water. We suggest bringing a 1 litre water bottle with you which you can fill up along the route.
 
Please remember that there are no dogs allowed on the walk.
