Ramadan Appeal

Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar and is a very important time for Muslims.  It is about sacrifice, patience and discipline and there are countless Ahadith attesting its significance.

For families with seriously ill children, life every day is a significant challenge. Children with life-limiting illnesses often require round the clock care, managing complex feeding and medicine regimes and parents become experts in their care.

“It was a life changing moment for us (when we were introduced to Martin House); we had struggled with caring for our daughter with no respite and without a full night’s sleep…For me, being there is the only time I close my eyes at night and sleep until the next morning”.  Martin House parent.

Whilst Martin House cares for children and families of all backgrounds, a large proportion of our children are Muslim, so this Ramadan, we are asking that you remember seriously ill children in your community and donate your Sadaqah to their care.

This year, Ramadan falls on or around 27th May and ends on or around 26th June. Your support during this special time could ensure a family in your area receives the specialist support they need and deserve.

You can make a Sadaqah donation on our donation page.
