Golf Day success

Golfers have raised £14,000 for us to help support children and young people with life-limiting conditions.

Our Golf Day saw 18 teams complete rounds at Wetherby Golf Club on Friday 21 October to raise money for the hospice.

As well as playing a round of golf, there were a variety of extra games, a drinks reception, along with dinner hosted by TV presenter and Martin House ambassador Duncan Wood, and an auction which helped raise the total.

Maddie Bentley, our senior events fundraiser, said: ‘We’d like to thank all our golfers for taking part and making the day such a success in raising such a great amount.

’We’d also like to thank our headline sponsor Retail Response, drinks reception sponsor GMI Construction, and Wetherby Golf Club, who donate the use of the course and venue, which means more of the money raised goes to helping families who need our support.’
