An exciting year ahead for Martin House
The coming year is set to be an exciting time for Martin House. Since autumn 2023, we’ve been undergoing our biggest transformation…
We are delighted to share that £15,331.43 has been raised by Training at Work Group during 2025, following a landmark year of fundraising in support of Martin House.
This impressive total reflects the commitment, generosity and enthusiasm of the Training at Work Group team, their partners and supporters, all working together to help Martin House continue providing vital care for children, young people and families across Yorkshire. Fundraising partnerships such as this play a crucial role in enabling these services to continue.
Throughout 2025, Training at Work Group took on a wide range of fundraising activities, encouraging teamwork, wellbeing and community involvement while raising vital funds for Martin House.
Staff collectively cycled the virtual distance to the Serengeti, taking on an ambitious challenge that encouraged participation across the organisation. Every mile completed helped raise funds and awareness for Martin House.
Another major initiative saw team members run, cycle or walk the distance to New York. Open to all abilities, this challenge brought people together and enabled everyone to contribute in their own way.
Across the year, Training at Work Group hosted themed charity days, raffles, competitions and community events, helping to keep fundraising fun, inclusive and engaging.
Popular bake sales and smaller office fundraisers also played an important role, with lots of smaller contributions adding up to make a meaningful impact.
In addition, several individuals completed their own sponsored runs, cycles and personal fitness challenges, further boosting the final fundraising total.
Alongside fundraising, Training at Work Group also supports Martin House through its professional training services. Through Hello Training Courses, the group offers ongoing support in the form of first aid training and paediatric first aid training, helping ensure staff and carers have access to the skills and confidence needed to respond in emergency situations.
This commitment reflects a shared focus on care, safety and wellbeing within the community, and forms part of a wider, long-term partnership between Training at Work Group and Martin House.
The £15,331.43 raised during 2025 will help Martin House continue supporting children, young people and families across Yorkshire, ensuring care and support remain available when they are needed most.
Martin House would like to thank everyone at Training at Work Group who donated, took part or supported these fundraising efforts. Their continued commitment, including the offer of ongoing first aid training support, makes a genuine difference to the families who rely on Martin House’s care.
