Make a splash for Martin House and raise vital funds for children and young people with life-shortening conditions. The Dragon Boat Race is an epic summer tradition that pits teams against each other in a bid to row your way to victory. So, gather your friends, family or work colleagues and take to Roundhay Park in support of hundreds of children across Yorkshire.

This ultimate sport is a unique corporate or group team-building event and family fun day that helps support hundreds of children and young people across Yorkshire.

How it works

The race takes place over one day and teams will take part in a minimum of three races before the fastest team goes through to the semi-final. The boat and life jackets are provided – all you need is a crew of 10 paddlers and a drummer to keep rhythm to compete in this historic race for glory.

Who can enter

Anyone!! Whether you are a group of friends, a sports team or enter through a company this is guaranteed to be a day to remember. All we ask is that you are over 16 (anyone under the age of 18 will need written permission from a parent/guardian) and that you are able to swim 50 metres. If you would like someone in your team who is under 16 please contact the events team beforehand to check.

Entertainment

As well as the action taking place on the lake there will be range of fairground rides and refreshments available throughout the day for the while family.
Each team will also have the chance to win Best Dressed, so pick a team name and theme go all out!

Please raise some sponsorship

In addition to the entry fee which secures your team and boat, each team is targeted to raise a minimum of £1200 sponsorship – that’s just £120 per person and our events team are on hand throughout your fundraising journey!

Your £1200 can pay for a member of our community team to visit 10 families I their own home, throughout your fundraising journey!

There is a prize for the team that raises the most – so make sure you’ve got your fundraising ideas at the ready!

What does the entry fee cover?

Packages

Please note Gold packages are now sold out!

You and your team can sign up to one of three packages, bronze, silver or gold.
Bronze – Team entry – £375
Silver – Team entry and Tug of War entry – £415
Gold – Team entry, Tug of War and Gazebo (Limited packages available) £480

Please note, if you selected a Gold Package your gazebo will be set up for you on arrival.

Registration payments due within 14 days of invoice date (if requested). Please note that booking fees are non-refundable.

Attendee declaration: I accept all the conditions of the entry and acknowledge that the organisers shall not be liable for death, personal injury or loss or damage as a consequence of my participation in this event.
