“One of my favourite times at Martin House is the family Christmas party. I’m lucky enough to be one of the people who organises it. A lot of the families who use us, because they have such complex medical conditions, they’re in huge wheelchairs, they need medicines and feeds, they might need to be near hospitals or clinical support. They wouldn’t be able to go to places that other families would be able to visit at Christmas.
It's amazing to see families come to the party and experience some real Christmas magic, when they wouldn’t be able to do that elsewhere. We are the only ones who could provide that for them, in that supported environment. It’s a magical thing to be able to do.
