This series of modules allows healthcare professionals to develop knowledge and confidence in paediatric palliative care through a flexible programme of focused sessions. 

Modules may include: 

  • Introduction to paediatric palliative care 
  • Recognition of the dying child and care after death 
  • Parallel planning and advance care planning 
  • Symptom management 
  • Perinatal palliative care 
  • Neurological symptom management 
  • Loss, bereavement and staff wellbeing 

 

Certification: Certificate provided following completion of each module. 

Who is this course for?

Health and social care professionals involved in caring for children and young people with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions.

How you will learn

Modules combine theoretical teaching with case discussion and simulation-based learning. 

Course leader
Modules will be delivered by our team of expert clinicians, including nurses and doctors and allied health professionals with a high level of clinical, holistic and complex care experience and knowledge.
