Shop Manager – Harrogate

We are now seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic and target-driven individual to manage our Harrogate shop - one of our most high profile and successful retail outlets covering three floors.

Martin House Childrens Hospice is a Yorkshire based charity, who cares for children and young people with life-limiting conditions, whilst also providing support to their families. Martin House is a forward thinking and ambitious charity, having just embarked on an exciting £21.9m build project with exciting plans to continue to grow and develop our services, people and facilities. This is an incredibly exciting time to join our team.

Our retail sector, which is integral in allowing us to provide care to those who need it, comprises of 13 shops across the Yorkshire region, along with an extensive furniture warehouse and a highly successful online marketplace.

To be successful in this role, You will have experience of working with a diverse range of people and get a buzz out of generating funds to support children and families when they need us most.

Our ideal candidate will

  • Be dedicated, compassionate and flexible and deliver high standards in everything they do.
  • Effectively line manage an Assistant shop manager and our team of incredible volunteers, motivating and supporting to drive success.
  • Want to work in a well-established, award-winning charity retail team, raising funds to support children, young people, and their families when they need us most,
  • Understand the importance of creating a community hub within our charity shops, and be able to provide a safe, inclusive environment from which to generate revenue for our hospice.

£23445.17 to £28019.15 per annum (£11.99 to £14.33 per hour) Starting salaries generally start at the bottom of the band.
