A big thank you to all who have helped us to raise the funds needed to provide care and support to our children and young people, and their families.

Asda Harrogate A huge thank you to shoppers at Asda (Harrogate) who voted for us to receive a £500 donation from the Asda Foundation using their green tokens at the till.
Brewin Dolphin cups Our friends at Brewin Dolphin have donated these lovely cups to us, which we will be using at our siblings group events. Thank you! Our siblings groups for children with a brother or sister who comes to Martin House gives them the chance to talk to others who understand what it's like having a poorly sibling, and the chance to try out a range of activities.
Knaresborough choir Thank you to the Choir at St John the Baptist Church in Knaresborough who raised £250 by singing in the town in December, as well as from the Thula Mother and Baby Singing Group. Music Director Mark Hunter and his partner Andrea came to present the cheque and enjoyed a tour of the Martin House gardens.
Mibelle Group Thank you to Mibelle Group, who have handed over a cheque for £600, the result of a year of fundraising for Martin House.
Nu U Nutrition A huge thank you to Nu U Nutrition of York, who visited Martin House and presented a cheque for £20,000. The firm makes regular donations to Martin House, and its cumulative total of support was £46,600, so they decided to top up their donation by another £3,400 to make it a round £50,000!
Otley Friends of Martin House A huge thank you to Otley Friends of Martin House have raised more than £175,000 during the years they have supported us.
West Yorkshire Advanced Motorcyclists West Yorkshire Advanced Motorcyclists have handed over a cheque for more than £3,000 after naming Martin House as its charity of the year in 2017. Members organised a wide range of activities throughout the year, including a barbecue, coffee mornings and selling Martin House Christmas cards. A huge thank you to them for their support
Christmas tree treats A huge congratulations and thank you go to Jean Binns, who has raised more than £1,000 for Martin House by making and selling these beautiful Christmas tree decorations. Jean has sewn these amazing creations, which she has then sold at our open days, for many years, and the demand for them has been so high they sell out very quickly. Her trees have travelled as far afield as Russia and Paris! Jean is also an active member of Otley Friends of Martin House.
Wetherby Co-op Thank you to the Co-op on Ainsty Road in Wetherby, which has raised £2448.18 for Martin House. We were the store's nominated good cause, receiving donations from Co-op members each time they bought own brand items from the store.
Give a Gift A huge thank you to Give a Gift, which has donated £20,000 to Martin House raised throughout the last year, with events including a zumbathon and a winter ball. It has split its fundraising total between Martin House and the Children's Heart Surgery Fund.
Masonic Charitable Foundation Kind thanks to the Masonic Charitable Foundation, which presented Martin House with £2,530, as part of £33,995 it has given in grants to 15 hospices in Yorkshire.
Richmond House School Thank you to Richmond House School in Leeds, which raised £1,510.57 last year through concerts, retiring collections at services, bake sales and, one year six pupil who made a treasure map out of papier mache and got people to pay to guess where the treasure was – genius idea!
Wonder Woman marathon run Thank you to Sarah Swift, who ran the Yorkshire Marathon dressed as Wonder Woman. She raised over £4,000, which she has split between five charities, giving £800 to Martin House.
Jessica Six-year-old Jessica Brennan has raised £718 for Martin House by having her long hair cut off. She donated her hair to the Little Princess Trust and was sponsored by her friends and family to support Martin House. Well done and thank you Jessica!
Friendly Golf Society cheque Thank you to Corporate and Commercial Credit Solutions, who have donated £440 to Martin House from a golf day held by their Friendly Golf Society.
Hunter Gee games night A huge thank you to York accountancy firm Hunter Gee Holroyd which held its 23rd annual 'Games Night with a Difference' this month, and raised a magnificent £4,005 for Martin House. Teams from York's business community came together at the Monk Bar Hotel where they were challenged to classic TV quizzes like a Question of Sport, Family Fortunes, The Price is Right and others. The winning team was Ardent Finance, and the total included £2,000 match funding from Barclays.
8th Baildon Guides Thank you to the 8th Baildon guides have presented £40 to Martin House after holding a collection. They were inspired to raise money for Martin House after a cousin of one of the guides stayed at Martin House last year.
Clayton family fundraiser Thank you to Sharon and David Clayton and family, who raised £2,330 through their annual fundraiser at East Ward Labour Club in Bradford in memory of their son Alex. this included £200 from Howdens Joinery and £405 raised by Sharon’s dad when he did a 28-mile walk a few days before the fundraiser.
Hungarian Bradford Cultural and Social Centre A huge thank you to the Hungarian Bradford Cultural and Social Centre, which has donated £2,000 towards a cuddle cot, which will enable families to spend time with their baby after it has died. The Centre has wound up after 57 years working in its community, and decided to donate its remaining funds to charity, with donations also going to Yorkshire Air Ambulance and the Alzheimer's Society.
Sedburgh Boxing Club A massive thank you to Sedburgh Boxing Club, which has raised an impressive £6,045.55 after completing the Three Peaks Walk. Some of the money was raised in memory of Alfie Joe Barraclough, while more was raised through sponsorship and other donations.
Tuesday Quilters A huge thank you to the Tuesday Quilters, who held an exhibition at Boston Spa Village Hall in aid of Martin House and Yorkshire Air Ambulance and presented us with a cheque for £650.
Morrisons bucket collection Members of Cross Flatts Over 50s Club helped support a bucket collection at Morrisons in Victoria Shopping Centre, Bradford, in July. They also held a craft stall throughout the week, and collected a total of £847.23. A huge thank you to everyone involved.
MWA Tough Mudders Thank you to the team at Marcus Walsh Architectural in Dewsbury who have completed the Tough Mudder challenge at Broughton Hall in Skipton. The team kicked off a year of fundraising for Martin House by raising over £2,000 so far and completing the ten-mile course with 26 obstacles in three-and-a-half hours.
Taylor-Batty bake sale A huge thank you to Gabriel Taylor-Batty who held a bake sale on his sixth birthday for Martin House, with the help of his brother Samuel, 3. He wanted to raise money for Martin House in memory of his sister Anna, who was cared for and died here in 2010.
AWB Charlesworth/Pearson Golf Day A huge thank you to AWB Charlesworth and Pearson and Associates for their successful golf day at Bradford Golf Club. This is the fourth year they have supported Martin House in this way, and this year's event has raised a magnificent £2,400.
Theatrebox A big thanks to Theatrebox in Harrogate, which has raised £793.86 for Martin House with its concert 30 Songs for 30 Years, celebrating our 30th anniversary, at Highfield Prep School.
Leeds Bradford Airport Thanks to Leeds Bradford Airport for donating boxes of lost property to Martin House for distribution to our shops, along with the proceeds from collection boxes. LBA has supported Martin House in this way for about six years.
Megan Berryman Thank you to 11-year-old Megan Berryman who raised £600 for Martin House by having her long hair cut off. She has also donated her locks to The Princess Trust, which makes wigs for children affected by cancer.
Aldwark Arms Thank you to the Aldwark Arms near York, which has donated £723 to Martin House from the proceeds of its last beer festival. 
Penny Appeal Thank you to the Penny Appeal, which for the second year running has donated 100 bags of gifts and treats for our children, including board games, toys and arts and crafts materials.
Linley & Simpson 20-Peak Walk A huge thank you to estate agents Linley & Simpson, who completed a 20 Peaks challenge in the Lake District on Wednesday 7th June. The team walked 23 miles in 13.5 hours and are on course to raise £20,000 for Martin House.
7th Knaresborough Guides Thank you to the 7th Knaresborough Guides who made these beautiful quilts, which they have donated to Martin House. As well as their kindness in giving the quilts to us, the Guides also earned skills badges for their hard work.
Leeds Grand Mosque Thank you to Leeds Grand Mosque, which kindly donated £1,014.80 to Martin House from the proceeds of its International Food Festival in May 2017.
York Vikings Inner Wheel Our thanks to York Viking Inner Wheel Club, who have donated £1,300 to Martin House. President Judith Saunders, pictured left, with community fundraiser Alison Wragg, chose Martin House as her charity of the year, and the group held a series of events to raise the money.
