Coronavirus - Guidance on visiting us

Visitors should contact us to check latest visitor guidance before coming to the site.

Coronavirus

The symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19) may be more severe in people with weakened immune systems, older people, and those with long-term and life-limiting illnesses.

It is important in the current and ever-changing coronavirus situation that we take all reasonable steps to protect the wellbeing of those using our services, our staff and volunteers.

Advice for visiting the hospice

We ask that all families, relatives, friends, staff, volunteers and contractors consider whether they could be a potential carrier of the coronavirus before visiting the hospice or any of our other sites, including our retail shops.

Visitors should contact us to check latest visitor guidance before coming to the site.

If you have any concerns about your potential exposure to the coronavirus infection, you should contact 111.

Our children, young people and families are particularly vulnerable, and your understanding is much appreciated.

While visiting the hospice

Visitors are asked to use the hand sanitiser gel at reception and wash your hands regularly.

You can help to stop the spread of any germs by:

·        catching your cough or sneeze in a tissue. Bin used tissues straight away

·        washing your hands often with soap and water, especially after coughing or sneezing (use a sanitiser gel, if soap and water are unavailable)

·        avoiding close contact with people who are unwell

·        not touching your eyes, nose or mouth if your hands are not clean

·        please wear a face covering/mask

·        all groups including visitors and contractors must complete a lateral flow test before arrival
