Here when families need us most

Helen and Chris had no idea Timothy was dangerously ill before he was taken to hospital, so nothing could have prepared them for what happened that day. One minute they were being told Timothy had a brain tumour and needed urgent brain surgery, and the next he had tragically died on the operating table. Helen said: ‘We blinked and Timothy was gone.’

The family were in complete shock. Everything had moved at such a pace, they didn't have time to process what had happened to Timothy or why.

Thanks to the kind and generous support of people across our region, we were able to be there when they needed us most.
