Martin House on TV

We are delighted to be part of a Yorkshire wide hospice TV advert which will be on air in March. We are so pleased to be able to thank all of our supporters across the region.  It is only due to the generosity of local people that we are able to support children and young people with life-shortening conditions, and their families, througout the region.

Martin House child Kacie-Mae, Community Nurse Joanne, Corporate Fundraising Manager Jason, Martin House mum Charlotte and supporters Lorraine and Malcolm, are amongst the cast who will appear in a new TV commercial which will be aired across ITV from 1 March 2019.

The TV advert, the first of its kind for hospices in our region, has been produced collaboratively by eleven hospices in the Yorkshire and Humber region, including children’s and adult hospices, to raise awareness of hospice care.

Our Chief Executive, Martin Warhurst, said: ‘It has been great to work with other hospices in our region to collectively develop an advert that will shine a light on our work. The aim is to raise the profile of hospice care and encourage people to find out more about the local hospice in their area. The cast of extras consisted of a whole range of people from across the hospices – doctors, nurses, children, volunteers, therapists, fundraisers, support staff and even a couple of therapy dogs!’
The advert will be shown on ITV channels throughout March. It’s a great opportunity to highlight our work and reach as many people as possible.

Legacies are vitally important to Martin House. In fact, they make up more than a quarter of our voluntary income, meaning the costs of caring for one in four of our chidlren and young people is covered by gifts left in Wills. If you are considering leaving a gift in your Will to Martin House  - thank you!
