Project Coordinator


The volunteer role: Project Coordinator 
Reports to: Regional Fundraising Team 
Location: Martin House, Boston Spa

This is a key position supporting the work of our regional fundraisers within our fundraising department. The role includes:
  • Planning, promoting and recruiting participants to a variety of different campaigns and appeals including Bakes for Martin House, Music for Martin House, Workplace Fundraising, Community Partnerships, Talks about Martin House and Bucket Collection Appeals.
  • Researching potential and promoting the campaign to businesses, community groups, schools and supporters across North, East and West Yorkshire.
  • Coordinate the administration of an agreed project using excel and the fundraising database.
  • Liaise with and motivate supporters and volunteers
  • Organise the distribution of promotional materials
  • Support with any PR opportunities
  • Assist with the evaluation of the project once completed
 
Commitment:
  • Enthusiasm and commitment to supporting the team for a minimum of 3 months
  • Office based regularly for a minimum of half a day per week (during office hours)

  • A confident quick learner
  • A flexible and positive approach
  • Self-motivated and ability to multi task
  • A friendly and confident manner with good communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Good attention to detail
  • Experience of Microsoft office, outlook, using research tools online and willingness to use fundraising database where appropriate and with training
 
  • Full training and supervision will be given on the use of our telephone and I.T. systems.
  • If working over the lunchtime period, lunch will be provided.
  • Volunteers are invited to attend an annual hospice-wide training day which includes other areas of our work.
  • Volunteers are invited to join the Martin House Volunteer Forum (more information available on request).
We ask all our staff and volunteers to follow Martin House policies and procedures.
 
We will need you to complete documentation relating to the role (including driver documentation if you choose to drive whilst volunteering).
