Salary: £27,786.14 (£22,229 pa pro rata)
Hours of work: 30 hours a week
Place of work/Base: Martin House and in the Community. Hybrid working arrangements will be considered, where possible.

Martin House has been caring for babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions from West, North and East Yorkshire for more than 30 years. Every year we care for more than 420 families at our hospice in Boston Spa, in hospitals and in their own homes. We also support more than 150 bereaved families each year.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, proactive and fun People Advisor to join our People and Development team. This is exciting new role and great opportunity to join us as we enhance, design and develop the employee journey experience for our staff and volunteers.

You will have experience of providing an efficient and high-quality HR service. Providing HR advice and admin support across the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, on-boarding, and off-boarding.

Our ideal candidate will
  • be dedicated, compassionate, work in collaboration, be open, honest, flexible, caring and deliver high standards in everything you do
  • want to work in a well-established, award winning hospice, working as part of the multidisciplinary team to support the children, young people and their families from the time of their referral through to end of life care
  • have a CIPD level 5 (or working towards) qualification
  • experience of training and coaching on HR policies and procedures
