ICT Support Technician

Salary: £22,976 dependant on experience
Hours of work: 35 Hours per week with some flexibility to cover occasional events and sessions at weekends and in the evening
Place of work/Base: Martin House and in the Community. Hybrid working arrangements will be considered, where possible
 
Martin House has been caring for babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions from West, North and East Yorkshire for more than 30 years. Every year we care for more than 420 families at our hospice in Boston Spa, in hospitals and in their own homes. We also support more than 150 bereaved families each year.
 
We are seeking an ICT Support Technician to provide ICT support to Martin House users. This role will support Martin House’s digital journey and transformation.
 
The ideal person will have a good range of ICT skills, including end user device configuration, management, troubleshooting and support, good working support knowledge of AD, IT Infrastructure, security adherence and application support. The role also involves the support and rollout of new projects along with digital training of Martin House users. This role will support Martin House’s digital journey and transformation.

  • Want to work in a well-established, award-winning hospice, working as part of the multidisciplinary team to support the children, young people and their families from the time of their referral through to end of life care.
  • Have experience of working in an ICT environment.
  • Have experience of providing solutions and support of ICT solutions.
  • Have experience of ICT systems and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Have experience of training staff in ICT skills.
  • Have awareness of IT architecture, cloud based systems and SaaS solutions.
  • Have knowledge of line of business applications, such as finance, HR and CRM systems.
  • Be able to explain technical solutions clearly to staff and other IT users.
  • Have general awareness of recent ICT developments, including legislation.
  • Have negotiation skills.
