Database Administrator

Salary: £18,775.00 dependant on experience.
Hours of work: 35 hours per week with some flexibility to cover occasional events and sessions at weekends and in the evening.
Place of work/Base: Martin House and in the Community. Hybrid working arrangements will be considered, where possible.
Type of contract: Fixed term.
Martin House has been caring for babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions from West, North and East Yorkshire for more than 30 years. Every year we care for more than 420 families at our hospice in Boston Spa, in hospitals and in their own homes. We also support more than 150 bereaved families each year.
We are seeking a Database Administrator to join our team. You will assist our Database team in inputting all income on our database and maintaining an up-to-date and clean database system. 
We require someone who has good organisational skills and excellent attention to detail, database experience would be beneficial but is not essential.
Key responsibilities include:
  • use the fundraising database (ThankQ) to support input of all fundraising income 
  • general administration to support the team (scanning, printing, opening post)
  • ensure all activity and correspondence is recorded accurately on ThankQ, Azurri and Mstore
  • prepare batches of transactions for fundraising income as required for banking
  • work closely with the database team to ensure end of month figures can be reported on in a timely manner
This role is to start immediately.

  • have excellent organisation skills 
  • be dedicated, compassionate, work in collaboration, be open, honest, flexible, caring and deliver high standards in everything you do
  • having an understanding of the fundraising sector would be an advantage 
  • experience of working with a database would be helpful
  • want to work in a well-established, award-winning hospice, working as part of the multidisciplinary team to support the children, young people and their families from the time of their referral through to end of life care
