Capital Appeal Assistant

Salary: £18,775-£22,066
Hours of work: 35 hours per week with some flexibility to cover occasional events and sessions at weekends and in the evening
Place of work/Base: Martin House. Hybrid working arrangements will be considered, where possible.
Type of contract: Full time, permanent, starting from January 2022 onwards

Martin House has been caring for babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions from West, North and East Yorkshire for more than 30 years. Every year we care for more than 420 families at our hospice in Boston Spa, in hospitals and in their own homes. We also support more than 150 bereaved families each year.

As we head into our 35th year, we are undergoing our biggest transformation, a circa £19 million refurbishment and extension that will allow us to better support and care for the children and young people who need us.

We are seeking a new Capital Appeal Assistant to support the newly-established Capital Appeal team as we undertake an ambitious fundraising campaign to successfully deliver this transformation.

You will have experience of working in an administrative, customer-focused role with the ability to work with a variety of people at all levels. You will support all fundraising activities for the capital appeal, as well as producing online and print communications, maintaining the CRM database and completing regular reporting for internal and external stakeholders.

  • Be confident in working collaboratively with all teams across Martin House and responding to queries about the capital appeal from supporters and colleagues.
