We are seeking a proactive individual to lead and effectively manage the Martin House Charity Retail Furniture Showroom and Stock Warehouse at the Thorp Arch Estate near Wetherby, working alongside an Assistant Manager and an amazing team of volunteers. 

This is an amazing opportunity for a current Charity Shop Manager to step up or for a Manager with charity retail experience to become a part of our friendly Martin House team!

Martin House provides care and support to children and young people with life limiting illnesses, and to their families.   The hospice is in Boston Spa, Wetherby and we care for children and young people from across West, North and East Yorkshire.

The ideal candidate will have experience of working in charity retail sales environment, managing a team of volunteers and staff, and have an awareness of appropriate Health and Safety requirements.We are looking for someone who will also have excellent interpersonal skills to balance the needs of customers, donors, volunteers and staff.
 
A typical day would involve diary management for pick-ups and deliveries, organising staff and volunteers (assisting where necessary), ensuring all Health and Safety procedures are adhered to, running and managing the sales floor and overseeing the stock warehouse.
 
Please note this role will involve the moving and handling of furniture.
