Colour Run Success

24 July 2017
Hundreds of runners made a bright impression when they took part in Martin House Hospice Care for Children and Young People’s Colour Run this weekend.

More than 600 people took part in the event at Stockeld Park, Wetherby, on Sunday 23rd July, which saw them run a 3.5km route while being pelted with different colours of paint along the way.

Ellie Barker, events fundraiser, said: “All our runners, young and old, had a fantastic time. By the time they had run past our five paint stations, everyone was a riot of colour.

“We’d like to thank everyone who took part, and our sponsors Bellway Homes, Hartlaw, Branded3 and Redline Specialist Cars for making it such a huge success.”

The run has so far raised more than £10,000 for Martin House, which provides care to children and young people with life-limiting illnesses – and their families – at its hospice in Boston Spa, in hospitals and in their own homes.
