Bradford City FC announces Martin House as its charity partner

08 November 2018
Bradford City Football Club has announced Martin House as its charity partner following a public vote.

Martin House is the second charity partner announced as part of the club's scheme to invite local charities to work alongside it and host a bucket collection at one of five selected fixtures throughout the 2018/19 season.

Martin House will be holding a bucket collection at Bradford City's home match against Oxford Utd on Saturday 24th November.

The Martin House mascot Marty Bear will join Bradford City's Billy Bantam on the Northern Commercials pitch.

Chris Verney, Community Fundraiser, said: “Family is at the heart of everything we do, so we’re delighted to have this opportunity to join forces with a family club like Bradford.”

“While we care for babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions across West, North and East Yorkshire, currently around a third of the families we support come from the Bradford district.”

"This partnership gives us an opportunity to reach more people across Bradford to let them know about the difference we make to people from their community, particularly as we rely on the support of the public for the vast majority of our funding.”

“On behalf of the children, young people and their families who use Martin House, we would like to thank everyone who voted for us to win this charity partnership.”

“Thanks to your vote we have the chance to raise vital funds to support families, and also to share the care and support we give to families in Bradford and across our region.”
