We urgently need volunteers for the following tasks:-
We are about to open a new shop in Shipley and need around twenty volunteers to help sort clothing and other donated goods and to help serve on the till.
Our charity shop in Boston Spa needs another volunteer to help sort donated goods and to serve in the shop on a Monday afternoon. We are also looking for someone to help at our Yeadon shop on a Wednesday & Thursday morning. Full training will be given on how to use the till. Our volunteers usually do either a morning or afternoon each week. The shops are open Monday to Saturday.
We are also looking for a volunteer who has joinery experience to help us shelve out a new area for our archives to be stored.
We are looking for a driver to go out and collect donated goods on a Wednesday. Each day we have a team of people who go out to various areas in our region to collect items that have been donated or to take goods to our shops.
Our IT manager is looking for a person who is interested in helping us to run our Ebay online shop. It is envisaged that this will be approximately 1 full day or two half days a week.
If you are interested in applying to be a volunteer for any of the above opportunities, please complete the online form below and we will send you an application form to complete. This page is updated monthly so if there is nothing that appeals to you, please do keep checking as all opportunities are listed here as they arise. We no longer keep a waiting list due to the large number of volunteer enquiries we receive.
Please note we are not able to take volunteers under the age of 18 at the hospice due to the nature of our work.
