5th Anniversary winners

We were delighted that the 'E' shift syndicate from Ferrybridge Power station were the jackpot winners of our fifth anniversary draw.'E' shift syndicate lottery winners

Michael Rhodes, who organises the syndicate ,said About 4 years ago one of our shift colleagues, Jason Hamilton, raffled a Leeds United shirt that he won and gave the proceeds to Martin House Hospice. I went with Jason up to the fundraising office to hand over the money and while we were there we found out about the Lottery so took a leaflet back to work. We decided as a shift to support the Hospice in this way and have been doing so ever since. We think that this is a good way to support a very worthwhile cause. We have had a few £10 wins in the past but were very lucky to win the top prize of £1,000 this time. The money will be used towards our Christmas dinner which this year is at the Rogerthorpe Manor Hotel.

Champagne winner

We also had another winner on the same day, Miss Boomer of Leeds 15 won ‘Champagne for a Year’, which had been kindly donated by Asda.

OLIVER TICKET WINNERS SAY 'THANKS'

It seems a long time ago since you contacted me to say I had won a night for two at the Cavendish Hotel in London and tickets to see "Oliver".

I was so thrilled and have been looking forward to going ever since.

We booked it for Friday 22nd January, and travelled by train arriving just after lunch. The Cavendish Hotel is very classy, comfortable and very central. We were made extremely welcome and our stay was both relaxing and enjoyable.

We had plenty of time to get ready and found a restaurant close to the Theatre Royal for a pre-theatre meal.We had excellent seats to see Oliver and thoroughly enjoyed the show.A real treat, thank you.

A big thank you to everyone who was involved in making this a fabulous weekend away. We will be talking about it for a long time so hopefully that will encourage other people to join your lottery which has been very lucky for me recently.

Martin House does such good work supporting families through the most unimaginably difficult times. I shall do my best to let people know about the wonderful work you do and we send everyone at Martin House our best wishes for 2010.

Once again, many thanks

Kind regards

Sue and Mike, Market Weighton

Lottery hit by econmic climate

After a lot of thought Martin House have decided to change the prize structure of their lottery due to the econmic climate. The changes will take effect from 12th June 2009. Most people are being hit by the recession and the Martin House Lottery is no exception.

The jackpot prize of £1000 per week remains, it is the smaller prizes that have changed. The second prize is £100 and then ten prizes of £10.

Hopefully our supporters will remain with us knowing that we will now generate even more money for the hospice due to the reduction of one or two prizes.

Many thanks to old and new lottery players for ALL your support.
