Charity Shop and Warehouse Volunteers
We currently need volunteers to help out at our shops in Ilkley, Skipton and Shipley, but if you're interested in volunteering at any of our shops, we would love to hear from you. Your role will include sorting clothing and other donated goods, and serving on the till. These opportunities could be one morning or one afternoon a week, and some of the shops are open on a Sunday too. Please call us or email us to see if we have an opening to suit you. Alternatively, please call into your local shop and speak to the manager.
Full training will be given. The minimum age for shop volunteers is 14.
We are looking for four drivers to go out and collect donated goods on a Wednesday or Friday and also driver's mates. Each day we have a team of people who go out to various areas in our region to collect items that have been donated or to take goods to our shops.
Are you a handy man or woman with time to spare? We need volunteers to help with the general maintenance of the hospice, including painting and decorating, PAT testing, helping in the grounds and gardens, vehicle cleaning and checking (no technical know, edge necessary) and bike maintenance.
We are looking for bank volunteers to assist our Receptionist. Your role will include answering and directing calls, counting money and occasionally meeting and greeting visitors. Full training will be provided.
Please note: we are not able to take volunteers under the age of 18 at the hospice due to the nature of our work.
