Our Staff


To provide the full range of care in our two facilities, and in the community, we have a care team of 90 staff (77 full time equivalent) with a wide range of skills, including children's nurses, registered general nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, teachers, nursery nurses, social worker, artists in residence, youth workers, a chaplain and music therapists.

A bank of extra staff is available to cover emergencies and sickness. Medical cover 24 hours a day, 365 days a year is provided by two Consultants in Paediatric Palliative Medicine and three doctors, along with a GP from our local practice.  In addition, we have a Consultant Clinical Psychologist on the team.
 
Our fundraising team consists of a Head of Fundraising, who manages a small team of fundraisers and clerical staff, as well as our marketing and communications team and a Retail Manager. A team of staff and volunteers manages each of our ten shops and our warehouse and showroom.

General administration, garden and maintenance duties are taken care of by a small support team and we have a chef and a team of housekeepers. We are extremely grateful to all the unpaid volunteers who help us in various ways with fundraising, administration, maintenance, garden and kitchen duties on a regular basis.
