There are only a few weeks left to enter Martin House’s Grand Car Raffle and win a brand new Citroen C1. Now in its sixth year, the Car Raffle has clocked over £180,000 for children and young people with life-limiting conditions across West, North and East Yorkshire, with the fundraising odometer expected to exceed £200,000 this year.
Up for grabs in this year’s draw is a white Citroen C1, which comes with 3 years’ warranty and is zero-rated for car tax. Thanks to the generous sponsorship once again of longstanding supporters Evans Halshaw Citroen of Whitehall Road, Leeds, and leading confectionery firm, HARIBO, almost all of the funds raised through ticket sales go towards supporting Martin House families.
Corporate Fundraiser at Martin House John Haigh said: “There aren’t many opportunities to win a car for a pound, but the Grand Car Raffle gives you this and more as each ticket you buy could help us to provide care and support to a family near you, whether this is at our hospice or in their own home. We are delighted to have the support once again of HARIBO and Evans Halshaw Citroen, whose generous sponsorship has ensured the Car Raffle’s success over the past six years. Together, and with your support, we can make this year the most successful yet.”
Evans Halshaw Citroen, Leeds, Dealer Principal Peter Dean said:
“We were thrilled at the success of last year’s Car Raffle and hope to smash the £200,000 mark this year. Martin House is such a worthy cause that it was an easy decision to support the raffle again this year, and this way we can ensure that the money raised goes to the children and young people that need it.”
Julie Beaman, Assistant Communications Manager for HARIBO says “HARIBO is very proud to support Martin House’s Car Raffle again this year and hope that the campaign will not only raise much-needed funds, but raise awareness of the wonderful work the hospice does to support families in our region.”
