As part of this year's Hospice Care Week (3-9 October), we are delighted to be able to launch our new video for professionals.
The video offers a valuable resource for health and social care professionals working with families where there is a child or young person with a life-limiting condition. As well as giving an insight into the vital clinical care offered at the hospice and in the community, the video emphasises our holistic approach to care and provision of support for the whole family.
Chief Executive,Angela Monaghan, said: “We want to make sure that all relevant health and social care professionals in West, North and East Yorkshire are aware of Martin House and how they can work with us to provide the best possible care for families.
“We by no means work in isolation, and it is important to us that we work closely with other professionals to ensure that we reach as many families as possible who might need our support. Our new video forms part of an ongoing project to ensure that anyone in the region working with a family whose child has a life-limiting condition understands the support we can offer and how to make a referral. It will complement the work being done by members of our care team who regularly visit hospital and community teams to offer advice and support.
“We have already received very positive feedback following our recent open day for professionals and look forward to disseminating the video over the coming weeks.”
Our video for professionals is available online and DVD copies can be obtained by contacting Carol Devine at firstname.lastname@example.org.
